Congo Human Dignity 2026 – Dallas: A Historic Conference for Human Dignity

On February 21, 2026, the city of Dallas, Texas, hosted the very first edition of Congo Human Dignity, a landmark event dedicated to the promotion of human rights, the awakening of consciousness, and the mobilization of communities around the values of dignity, justice, and responsibility.

Held at the prestigious Chic Event venue, the conference brought together a distinguished and engaged audience, attentive from beginning to end, reflecting a strong commitment to understanding human rights issues and the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

One of the key highlights of the event was the international human rights training led by Maurizio Pellitteri, President of the Association for Human Rights Education, who traveled from Geneva to deliver this impactful session. Through a clear and accessible approach, participants gained essential knowledge about their fundamental rights and their role in society, with the educational support of Youth for Human Rights International, a key partner of this initiative.

The conference also featured inspiring speeches, including that of Pierrot Lukusa, founder of the Congo Human Dignity initiative, alongside contributions from international human rights consultant Paoly Ngiayi, President of the Congolese community in Dallas Mr. Victor Paluku, and Cedric Kanyinda, a committed voice of the Congolese diaspora.

A particularly powerful moment of the event was the art exhibition depicting the realities of the war in Eastern DRC. Through deeply expressive and symbolic paintings, Francis Lelo guided participants through a profound narrative, transforming art into a tool for memory, awareness, and advocacy.

The official certificate ceremony marked the conclusion of the training session, recognizing participants as emerging ambassadors of human dignity.

Beyond the formal program, the event also offered a moment of connection through light refreshments, fostering networking, dialogue, and stronger relationships among participants, speakers, and partners.

This first edition of Congo Human Dignity marks the beginning of a powerful movement, with the ambition to expand this initiative on a larger scale, particularly in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

We express our sincere gratitude to all participants, partners, and supporters—especially Youth for Human Rights International, as well as Maurizio Pellitteri and the Association for Human Rights Education

who contributed to the success of this historic event.

Congo Human Dignity does not end here. The journey continues.
